The attached newspaper article notes that each women attending the Toronto B'nai B'rith Women's annual donor dinner in March 1962 "will receive the year book, which this year will be named 'Gourmet Goodies'".

None of the recipes in this book include submitter names, however the same article notes that the year book chairman was Mrs. Murray Morganthau. The cookbook itself notes that the cookbook's editor was Shirley Wagman.

Gourmet Goodies includes advertisements throughout, mainly for local Toronto businesses, but also for larger brands such as Eaton's and El Al Israel Airlines.
