"If you have a spare $2 and someone on your holiday gift list you want to remember, there is a new cookbook prepared by the women of the Lillian Freiman Chapter of Hadassah-WIZO here in the city.

It's called 'Best of Bazaar Baking... and More' and it is 36 pages of dessert and bread recipes you can prepare yourself or expect to find at any bake sale or bazaar. As well, there are meat, fish, vegetable and poultry recipes collected by the members of the group along with some traditional Jewish dishes to try.

The Best of Bazaar Baking... and More will be available at a bake sale being held next Friday, Dec. 11 in the Kings Place mall beginning at 11 a.m. or you can get it by calling Doris Rauch at 455-4056.

The Lillian Freiman Chapter of Hadassah-WIZO has been in Fredericton for 60 years, something worth celebrating all by itself, and this cookbook has been produced to assist in their charitable work. It's not a very fancy, glossy type of book but has some substantial recipes in it. Most of the ingredients used are found in any kitchen. There's nothing very different or diffcult and if you are interested, here is a sample recipe to try, one of the traditional Jewish recipes you won't find in most cookbooks."
